How to Integrate Telegram with Wonderchat
Connect your Wonderchat chatbot to Telegram so users can interact with your AI assistant directly from Telegram.
Step 1: Open Your Chatbot in Wonderchat
Log in to your Wonderchat dashboard.
From the main menu, click Chatbots.
Select the chatbot you want to connect to Telegram by clicking the chatbot icon.
Step 2: Open BotFather on Telegram
Open Telegram and search for @BotFather.
Start a chat with BotFather. This is the official Telegram bot used to create and manage Telegram bots.
Step 3: Create a New Telegram Bot
In the BotFather chat, send:
/newbot
Follow the prompts from BotFather.
You will be asked to enter:
A name for your bot
A username for your bot
Your bot username must end in bot, for example:
wonderchat_support_bot
Step 4: Copy Your API Token
After your bot is created, BotFather will give you an API token.
Copy the token exactly as shown.
Step 5: Connect Telegram in Wonderchat
Return to your Wonderchat dashboard.
Paste the API token into the Telegram integration field.
Click Connect.
Step 6: Test Your Telegram Bot
Open Telegram and search for the bot username you created.
Send a test message to the bot.
If everything is connected correctly, your Wonderchat chatbot should respond inside Telegram.
